Pre-Requisites: None
This course provides the skills for students who would like to manage a respiratory program in their workplace.
Students will participate in classroom lectures as well as hands-on utilization of multiple respiratory systems. Each individual will be fit tested and checked for proficiency.
Each candidate will become proficient in fit testing
This course is in conformance with WorkSafe BC Regulations and CSA Z94.4, CSA Z180.1-13 and CSA B339-96 Standards.
Systems covered will include Air Purifying Systems, Closed Circuit Systems and Supplied Air Systems.
In order to attain a Fit Test as well as a certificate, students MUST be clean-shaven and need to bring their own APR (air-purifying respirator and P-100 filter).
Students can still participate and pass the course without these requirements but will not get a personal fit test record at the same time.

Testing
Students will be given a written, individual proficiency and practical evaluation. Successful candidates will be given a certificate of completion.
Regulations
This course is in conformance with CSA Z94.4 and WorkSafeBC Standards and is approved training for the BCCSA NCSO designation.
